Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)

Effective date: 11 August 2026

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) sets out the strict rules and guidelines for using App Opener (https://appopener.recut.in), our Android app, our custom URL shortening engine, and our API (together, the “Service”). This AUP is incorporated by reference into our Terms and Conditions.

By using App Opener, you agree to comply with this policy. If you violate this AUP, we may suspend or terminate your account, delete your links, and block your access to the Service without notice and without a refund.

1. Prohibited Content and Links

You may not use App Opener to create short links that redirect to, or use our media storage to host, any of the following types of content:

Malware & Phishing:

Sites that contain viruses, trojans, spyware, ransomware, or pages designed to steal personal information, credentials, or financial data (phishing).

Child Exploitation:

Any content that depicts, encourages, or promotes the sexual exploitation of minors. We have a zero-tolerance policy and will report such activity to the appropriate law enforcement authorities (such as NCMEC).

Illegal Activity:

Content that violates any applicable local, national, or international laws, including the sale of illegal drugs, weapons, or counterfeit goods.

Hate Speech & Violence:

Content that promotes violence, terrorism, self-harm, or discrimination against individuals based on race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or disability.

Scams & Spam:

Get-rich-quick schemes, pyramid schemes, fraudulent offers, deceptive marketing, or sites designed to overload users with intrusive advertising.

Copyright Infringement:

Content that infringes on the intellectual property rights of others (please see our DMCA Policy for reporting procedures).

2. Prohibited Behavior & Deceptive Practices

When creating links, you must not trick or deceive users. You are prohibited from:

Bait-and-Switch:

Creating a link that appears to lead to a safe or specific destination, but redirects the user to a completely different, unexpected, or malicious site.

Impersonation:

Creating links that impersonate App Opener, other businesses, or individuals to deceive users.

Evasion:

Using App Opener links to bypass bans or blocks on other social media platforms, forums, or networks.

3. Technical Abuse and API Misuse

You may not interfere with the security or performance of the Service. You are prohibited from:

Overloading Systems:

Conducting Denial of Service (DoS) attacks, spamming our link generation tools, or intentionally placing an unreasonable load on our infrastructure.

API Abuse:

Exceeding published rate limits, attempting to bypass API restrictions, or using automated scripts (bots/scrapers) in a way that disrupts the Service.

Reverse Engineering:

Attempting to extract the source code, bypass security protocols, or gain unauthorized access to App Opener servers, databases, or third-party accounts.

4. Enforcement and Penalties

We actively monitor the Service for abuse. We reserve the right to review links and associated content at our discretion. If we determine that you have violated this AUP, we may take any of the following actions without prior notice:

  • Immediately disable, redirect, or permanently delete the offending links.
  • Suspend or permanently terminate your App Opener account.
  • Blacklist your IP address or domain from using the Service or API.
  • Report illegal activities to law enforcement.

No Refunds: If your account or links are suspended or terminated due to a violation of this AUP, you will not receive a refund for any paid subscriptions or services.
